The San Antonio Capekillers were a group of ordinary humans who participated in the capeless uprising against superpowered individuals in San Antonio four years prior to the main story of Empowered. They wore shirts with references to Dungeons and Dragons roleplaying game.
Most members of the cell were killed by the "Sayonara Hero"; the only surviving member is Thugboy.
